Do not bother with a lawyer, they will only take your money, plea guilty to the judge and accept the consequences. trust me it is cheaper than a lawyer.
you can certainly ask your friends but I don’t know how reliable that is. All I can suggest is to call the County Bar Association and ask them for the names of attorneys in your area who do DUI cases, etc.. Doesn’t your car insurance pay for property damage? Hit and run (did you do that?) depends on if there was an injury or death. Death of course is very serious of someone leaves the scene. If it’s just injury to the car then again the car insurance should pay for that. If medical bills then PIP should pay for that up to $10,000 I believe.
